PLATINUM RECORDING ARTISTS TOKIO HOTEL RELEASE NEW ALBUM HUMANOID IN OCTOBER

THE FIRST SINGLE “AUTOMATIC” FROM THEIR ALBUM “HUMANOID“ FOLLOWING THE MEGA SUCCESS OF "SCREAM" WILL BE RELEASED IN MID-SEPTEMBER

(August 26, 2009) It's been a long two years for the army of Tokio Hotel followers. But come October, the visually captivating German-born international rock idols plan to pay back their fans' dedication -- with interest. HUMANOID, Tokio Hotel's long wished-for third studio album, will be released in October.
“We worked on this album for more than a year until we had a perfect feeling about the songs and the entire production,” says singer Bill Kaulitz. "We love HUMANOID and hope that it makes it up to the fans for having to wait for so long!“
The four musicians, by now established as a global sensation, disappeared into the studio with their long-term producer, David Jost, for several months in order to create an album for the whole world, full of timeless, science fiction inspired tracks.
The first single, „Automatic", clocks in at just over three minutes but feels like an epic journey, thanks to the multi-layered, growling guitar work of Tom Kaulitz, 19, and his twin brother Bill's anthemic, hymn-like singing. The opening verse starts with the lines : "You're automatic and your heart's like an engine / I die with every beat." The emotional and contagious lyrics and melodies are further underlined by the driving, mechanical precision o£22-year-old bassist Georg Listing and 20-year old drummer Gustav Schaefer. It is the title song for an entirely new phase in the success story of Tokio Hotel. A piece filled with the empelled desperation that creates great sing-along hymns for masses of fans at concerts. Tokio Hotel started as a small school band from Magdeburg, now they are the biggest music act that came out of Germany in the last 20 years, having received more than ten platinum albums, sold more than 6 million records and have been able to boast four number one hits as well as sold-out concert arenas all over Europe.
The American Rolling Stone published reports about Tokio Hotel and the "New York Times" devoted a big title feature to the band. At a signing session at one of the biggest music stores on Times Square, the police of New York closed the store due to uncontrollable fan hysteria and to the large number of people.
At the MTV Video Music Awards in Los Angeles in September 2008, "Tokio Hotel" was awarded "Best New Artist", previously won by greats like Nirvana, 50 Cent, Guns n’ Roses and Eminem. Shortly afterward, they also received four trophies at once at the MTV Latin Awards in South America. A new round of "Tokio Hotel" mania starts with their new album "HUMANOID". Humanoid will be available in the beginning of October 2009. “Automatic” will be released in in the middle of September 2009.
